Ideea cumplit\u0103, de nesuportat, c\u0103 i-ar putea fi furate orele de scris l-a vizitat, totu\u015fi. Dar s-a lep\u0103dat, nu tocmai lesnicios, de aceast\u0103 temere sp\u0103imoas\u0103. \u015ei \u00een foiala proiectelor urie\u015fe\u015fti, de absorb\u0163ie enciclopedic\u0103, m\u00e2nat de impulsuri secrete deturn\u00e2ndu-i energiile, scriitorul ivea ritmic, recuperator, titluri de alt\u0103dat\u0103, \u00eengropate ori r\u0103t\u0103cite \u00een stiva manuscriselor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Trist, regretabil, nedrept, timpul \u2013 cum sun\u0103 o sintagm\u0103 predist\u0103 \u2013 \u201en-a mai avut r\u0103bdare\u201d. Artur ne-a p\u0103r\u0103sit l\u0103s\u00e2nd \u00een urm\u0103 exemplul faptei, m\u00e2nat de un sim\u0163\u0103m\u00e2nt al datoriei dar \u015fi at\u00e2tea alte g\u00e2nduri rodnice pe care nimeni, vai, nu le va putea continua. Avea, probabil, \u00een chip de porunc\u0103 divin\u0103, \u00een regim de urgen\u0163\u0103, sentimentul misiunii. Credea \u00een acea lucrare tainic\u0103, biruitoare, \u00eent\u00e2mpin\u00e2ndu-i pe cei de dup\u0103 noi, vestind <em>\u00eenr\u0103d\u0103cinarea<\/em> \u00eentr-o vreme tulbure, de v\u00e2scozitate axiologic\u0103, amenin\u0163\u00e2nd cu destr\u0103marea chiar \u0162ara P\u0103rin\u0163ilor. Cartografiase, prin ARP, o geografie de valori, visa la o <em>Rom\u00e2nie tainic\u0103<\/em> urm\u00e2nd a izvodi c\u0103r\u0163i fundamentale, o <em>Predanie<\/em> culeg\u00e2nd \u201emodele\u201d \u015fi \u201eexemple\u201d pentru Omul Rom\u00e2n. Aduna <em>Cuvinte pentru urma\u015fi<\/em>, un \u015fir de pove\u0163e (\u00eendrum\u0103ri orale, laconice, apoftegmatice) rostite \/ \u015foptite de \u201epov\u0103\u0163uitori secre\u0163i\u201d, at\u00e2t de trebuitoare \u00eens\u0103 \u00een ceasuri de cump\u0103n\u0103 \u015fi nevolnicie. Un \u015fir de b\u0103rba\u0163i ilu\u015ftri, binef\u0103c\u0103torii na\u0163iei, lucr\u00e2nd tainic aproape, testamentar, \u2013 departe de circul mediatic \u015fi jalnicul spectacol politicianist \u2013 spre binele unei Rom\u00e2nii ipotetice, pentru acel m\u00e2ine care va exista, desigur, f\u0103r\u0103 noi.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Este impresionant\u0103, la o prim\u0103 ochire, suprafa\u0163a preocup\u0103rilor sale. Cu \u201egust semi-profetic\u201d, Artur Silvestri palpa originismul cultural, umplea goluri, eviden\u0163ia \u201eorele astrale\u201d \u015fi r\u0103spunsul autohton. \u00cenchipuia, a\u015fadar, largi panouri privind geografia literaturii proto-rom\u00e2ne, cobora \u00een substratul getic, developa spiritualitatea patristic\u0103. Propunea, se vede bine acum, o sintez\u0103 istoriografic\u0103, acribios documentat\u0103, fructific\u00e2nd cercet\u0103ri alc\u0103tuite cu ani \u00een urm\u0103. Altfel zis, descoperea <em>realitatea str\u0103mo\u015filor<\/em>, aduc\u00e2nd la lumin\u0103 <em>urmele<\/em>, ale familiei sau ale neamului. Negre\u015fit, c\u00e2nd e vorba de studii mai vechi, unele chiar netip\u0103rite (\u00eenc\u0103) \u00een limba rom\u00e2n\u0103, pecetea unei v\u00e2rste (intelectuale, \u00eendeosebi, dar \u015fi suflete\u015fti) se simte. Avem, \u00een totul, \u00een aceast\u0103 st\u0103ruin\u0163\u0103 risipit\u0103 de-a lungul c\u00e2torva decenii de trud\u0103 tenace, un critic artist, \u00een descenden\u0163\u0103 c\u0103linescian\u0103, de cert rafinament stilistic \u015fi, s\u0103 nu uit\u0103m, cu apetit doctrinar. B\u0103t\u0103ios \u00een perioada <em>luceferist\u0103<\/em>, angajat \u00een felurite campanii de pres\u0103 \u015fi r\u0103zboaie ideologice, oferindu-\u015fi apoi o voluntar\u0103 retragere (\u201edispari\u0163ia public\u0103\u201d fiind o \u00eentrem\u0103toare ad\u00e2ncire \u00een sine), Silvestri \u00eemp\u0103ca \u2013 a\u015f zice miraculos \u2013 succesul \u00een afaceri (fiind, se \u015ftie, un expert \u00een pia\u0163a imobiliar\u0103) cu largile desf\u0103\u015fur\u0103ri eseistice, \u00eencerc\u00e2nd a descifra pentru noi \u201erevolta fondului neconsumat\u201d, procesele modelatoare <em>enigmatice<\/em>, ciclicitatea cu iriz\u0103ri fantastice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Era u\u015for de b\u0103nuit c\u0103 instinctul epic lucra \u00een fiin\u0163a c\u0103rturarului. Artur Silvestri avea, ne\u00eendoios, \u201emagia fic\u0163iunii\u201d (cum se pronun\u0163ase, folosind invocata sintagm\u0103 pentru <em>Mesure d\u2019une ombre<\/em>, romanul lui Paul Lahovary). A\u015fa fiind, nu e de mirare c\u0103 <em>literatura enigmatic\u0103<\/em> i-a confiscat interesul \u00een anii june\u0163ii; iar compozi\u0163iile de atunci erau, \u00een fine, dezv\u0103luite \u00een <em>Apocalypsis cum figuris<\/em> (Ed. <em>Carpathia Press<\/em>, 2005). Fiindc\u0103 opul \u00een discu\u0163ie recupereaz\u0103 \u015fapte nuvele fantastice, izvodite \u00eentre 1983-1984 la Snagov \u015fi Izvorul Mure\u015fului. E drept, una dintre ele (e vorba de <em>Geneza, dup\u0103 Balzac<\/em>) e din 1977. Aceste \u015fapte compozi\u0163ii se al\u0103tur\u0103 unui roman (<em>Pinnacle<\/em>, tot din 1977) \u015fi fac dovada c\u0103 aveam \u00een Artur Silvestri un prozator secretos \u015fi parcimonios.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bine\u00een\u0163eles, efortul de a cerceta aceast\u0103 recolt\u0103 prozastic\u0103 \u00een ram\u0103 contextual\u0103 ne invit\u0103 s\u0103 chestion\u0103m epoca. Erau anii explozivi ai realismului magic sud-american. Dar, observ\u0103m iute, prozatorul \u2013 atent la proximit\u0103\u0163i \u2013 nu se \u00eendatorase vreunui model. Dominanta scrisului s\u0103u, tutelat de o memorie care, luxuriant, se desf\u0103\u015foar\u0103 \u00eend\u0103r\u0103t penetreaz\u0103, inevitabil, \u015fi epica. Silvestri ne-a propus, deseori, un imaginar acvatic, reverber\u00e2nd liturgic; \u00eentotdeauna \u00eens\u0103 folosea \u201epast\u0103 geneziac\u0103\u201d, \u00eentr-o regresie \u00eembibat\u0103 de stranietate, dezv\u0103luind \u2013 pe un fabulos scenariu mitic \u2013 noi straturi ale arhaicit\u0103\u0163ii. \u00cenc\u00e2t, vorba autorului, \u201etotul pare s\u0103 fi fost scris\u201d. Sunt descrieri fastidioase, de o lentoare a acumul\u0103rilor care amintesc, cred, de o epicureic\u0103 pl\u0103cere barbian\u0103, savur\u00e2nd textul; \u015fi, desigur, de un ecou eliadesc, rodind, \u00een aceast\u0103 formul\u0103, o scriitur\u0103, p\u00e2n\u0103 deun\u0103zi, \u00eenc\u0103 t\u0103inuit\u0103.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Hot\u0103r\u00e2ndu-se, t\u00e2rzior, s\u0103 se \u00eengrijeasc\u0103, gospod\u0103re\u015fte, de manuscrisele care a\u015fteptau de at\u00e2ta vreme lumina tiparului, Artur Silvestri era promis unei \u00eenalte cariere. Verdictul a venit brusc, curm\u00e2nd firul unei vie\u0163i muncite, vestea neagr\u0103 ne-a cutremurat. Dar nu putem crede nicidecum c\u0103 cei ce se dedic\u0103 binelui colectiv sunt destina\u0163i uit\u0103rii, cum nota undeva chiar Artur Silvestri.
