Gre\u0219eli sunt pretutindenea. Dar c\u00e2t de rara \u0219i c\u00e2t de anevoie se poate mistifica acolo o poli\u021bie a\u0219a de bine organizat\u0103 !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La noi lipse\u0219te cu des\u0103v\u00e2r\u0219ire un control serios \u0219i\u00a0 ne\u00eentrerupt al producerilor artistice. Singurul om care a \u0219tiut la noi s\u0103 puie critica la \u00een\u0103l\u021bimea la care au ridicat-o de c\u00e2tva timp marii critici str\u0103ini, singurul om care ne-a\u00a0 dat \u00een literatur\u0103 c\u00e2teva produse de cercet\u0103ri profund savante \u0219i uimitor de con\u0219tiincioase este I. Gherea.\u00a0 \u0218i numele acesta pus aici pe mul\u021bi \u00eei va face s\u0103 str\u00e2ng\u0103 din\u00a0 umeri \u0219i s\u0103 se \u00eentrebe cu nedumerire. Gherea scrie rar, \u00eentr-o revist\u0103 nu tocmai r\u0103sp\u00e2ndit\u0103, \u0219i foarte pu\u021bini au avut ocazia s\u0103 citeasc\u0103 \u0219i s\u0103 poat\u0103 pre\u021bui cuno\u0219tin\u021bele \u00eentinse, logica sever\u0103 \u0219i frumoasa inteligen\u021b\u0103 a acestui analist cinstit \u0219i pacient. Cu mult departe de el, dedesubt \u0219i f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103-i semene, fac zgomot mul\u021bi scriitori, cari-\u0219i iau sarcina de a critica pe al\u021bii, neav\u00e2nd nici temperamentul, nici cultura, nici spiritul, nici onestitatea indispensabil\u0103 unei \u00eendeletniciri de felul acesta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un poet neizbutit, ratat, dup\u0103 un \u0219ir de infructuoase asalturi rimate, trudit \u0219i dezgustat de lipsa de succes a poeziilor sale, \u00ee\u0219i sf\u0103r\u00e2m\u0103 lira de capul nenorocoasei muze \u0219i&#8230;s-apuc\u0103 de critic\u0103. \u00cenveninat \u0219i h\u0103r\u021b\u0103gos, ca o fat\u0103 care a \u00eemb\u0103tr\u00e2nit nem\u0103ritat\u0103 \u0219i pe care n-o mai cere nimeni, el va fi r\u0103u \u0219i ne\u00eenduplecat cu poe\u021bii. Vai de cel care a mutat accentul de pe o silab\u0103 pe alta, ori \u0219i-a permis s\u0103 rimeze \u201ecioar\u0103\u201d cu \u201eprim\u0103var\u0103\u201d ! Imediat criticul nostru, care posed\u0103 \u0219i avantajul de a fi \u00een secretele specialit\u0103\u021bii, se \u00eenfurie \u0219i tr\u00e2nte\u0219te un articol, \u00een urma c\u0103ruia nenorocitului\u00a0 \u201epacient\u201d nu-i mai r\u0103m\u00e2ne dec\u00e2t s\u0103-\u0219i puie \u0219treangul de g\u00e2t.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un gazetar din cei m\u0103run\u021bei, furnizor de umplutur\u0103, c\u00e2nd vede c\u0103 aflarea subiectelor de tratat \u00eencepe s\u0103-l nelini\u0219teasc\u0103, dup\u0103 c\u00e2teva ceasuri de ad\u00e2nc\u0103 meditare, se izbe\u0219te cu palma peste frunte: a g\u0103sit o comoar\u0103 de\u00a0 subiecte. Va lua la trei parale pe to\u021bi domnii autori \u0219i le va trage frecu\u0219. Dar mai \u00eent\u00e2i el a trebuit s\u0103 se g\u00e2ndeasc\u0103 la alegerea unui mod particular de a spune lucrurile &#8211; unui stil: pentru el aceasta e o chestie de preferin\u021b\u0103 voluntar\u0103 \u0219i calculat\u0103. Cite\u0219te cu o interesat\u0103 aten\u021bie pe iubi\u021bii s\u0103i cronicari moderni din Paris. P\u00e2nde\u0219te bine la figurile \u0219i floricelele lor de condei, se extaziaz\u0103 de spiritul lor, \u0219i-n fundul inimei lui \u00ee\u0219i jur\u0103 de a fi \u0219i el de spirit, de\u00a0 a scri \u0219i el a\u0219a. Nimic nu-l sperie, nimic nu-l pune pe g\u00e2nduri.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Piesele de teatru, jocul actorilor, tezele licen\u021bia\u021bilor \u0219i toate c\u0103r\u021bile cu con\u021binut literar \u0219i chiar \u0219tiin\u021bific uneori, ude \u00eenc\u0103 de sub teascurile tipografiei, toate trec \u0219i se cern prin foiletoanele acestui neadormit agent de control. \u0218i numele lui &#8211; c\u0103ci are pruden\u021ba de a isc\u0103li tot ce public\u0103 &#8211; acest nume, care cade ca un tic\u00a0 \u00een ochii cititorilor pe fiecare s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2n\u0103 la o zi fix\u0103, ajunge a sfredeli \u00eencetul cu \u00eencetul indiferen\u021ba publicului nostru \u0219i, iat\u0103-l remarcat. Pe strad\u0103, la \u00eentruniri, \u00een saloane, lumea \u0219i-l arat\u0103 cu degetul.<br \/>\nLa teatru, actorii \u0219i actri\u021bele \u00eel caut\u0103 din ochi, \u0219i cum \u00eel v\u0103d, \u00eel salut\u0103, \u00eei z\u00e2mbesc gra\u021bios, se str\u00e2ng \u00een jurul lui \u0219i \u00eel ascult\u0103. Autorii se silesc s\u0103-i fac\u0103 cuno\u0219tin\u021ba, ei sunt prin\u0219i de o vizibil\u0103 emo\u021bie c\u00e2nd \u00eei aduc cartea \u0219i \u00eel roag\u0103 s-o citeasc\u0103 \u0219i s-o judece. Acum are \u0219i-un stil al lui, trampat \u00een <em>l&#8217;esprit gaulais<\/em>, \u00eemp\u0103nat cu \u201efermec\u0103toarele fine\u021be ale francezului\u201d. \u0218i dac\u0103 nu cite\u0219te cartea despre care vorbe\u0219te, dar are talentul de a te face s\u0103 ui\u021bi despre ce trateaz\u0103, are fraza uns\u0103 \u0219i curg\u0103toare a omului\u00a0 \u201erafinat\u201d care se joac\u0103 cu condeiul. Cita\u021biile abund\u0103. \u00cen zece r\u00e2nduri ai \u00eentotdeauna trei-patru nemuritori de complimentat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Urm\u0103rit de aten\u021bia publicului, \u00ee\u0219i va lua rolul \u00een serios \u0219i \u00ee\u0219i va croi mers, privire, vorb\u0103 \u0219i gesturi pe talia importan\u021bei \u0219i celebrit\u0103\u021bii \u00een care a intrat. C\u00e2teva conferin\u021bi la\u00a0 Ateneu, cu subiecte rococo, vor fi indispensabile. Va publica o carte, pe care va dedica-o reginei. Va \u0219ti s\u0103 se introduc\u0103 la palat \u0219i, cine \u0219tie, s\u0103 se fac\u0103 oare\u0219cum necesar. Va \u021binea la Ateneu, \u00een auzul augu\u0219tilor suverani, o conferin\u021b\u0103, \u00een care lingu\u0219irea fin\u0103 \u0219i inteligent\u0103 va stabili un fir de fericit\u0103 comunica\u021bie \u00eentre el \u0219i Majest\u0103\u021bile Lor.
