Tot \u00een m\u0103rturisitoarele sale dezv\u0103luiri de tain\u0103 el re\u0163ine afectiv, cu fibra intimit\u0103\u0163ii depline, dou\u0103 entit\u0103\u0163i genetice de esen\u0163\u0103: \u201ct\u0103ria s\u00e2ngelui\u201d \u015fi \u201cidealul-tor\u0163\u0103 (citi\u0163i: cel al \u00eenainte-merg\u0103torilor) \u00een m\u00e2na de o\u0163el\u201d a urma\u015filor, pentru a confia r\u0103scolitor un palpitant leg\u0103m\u00e2nt de inim\u0103: \u201cPe buz\u0103 port&#8230; fiorul lespezilor sure de pe mormintele str\u0103bunilor\u201d. Acest postulat de via\u0163\u0103 (\u015fi de moarte!) se materializeaz\u0103, ca un conjunct revelatoriu, \u00een \u00eentregul demers liric al autorului, cu rotunjire osmotic\u0103 \u00een memorabila poezie \u201cSemn\u201d \u2014 o metafor\u0103 &#8211; simbol concentrat\u0103 in extremis, un topoi al inefabilului, \u00een\u0163eles dialectic \u015fi r\u0103st\u0103lm\u0103cit alegoric drept argument de afirmare a neamului nostru carpatic \u00een istorie:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cSub muntele b\u0103tr\u00e2n \u015fi-mp\u0103durit<br \/>\nmolizii grei se pr\u0103bu\u015fesc \u00een mit,<br \/>\nstr\u0103bunii mei se pr\u0103bu\u015fesc \u015fi ei<br \/>\ncu vremile de-a valma peste zei.<br \/>\n\u015ei-a\u015fa cum vin din coame de Carpa\u0163i,<br \/>\nse-ntunec\u0103 genunea de b\u0103rba\u0163i<br \/>\nscobor\u00e2tori din seme\u0163ia dac\u0103,<br \/>\nse lupt\u0103 aici cu moartea \u015fi se-mpac\u0103.<br \/>\nP\u00e2n\u0103 aici venir\u0103 s\u0103 se-nfrunte<br \/>\nvirtu\u0163ile romane cu cremenea de munte;<br \/>\nmolizii tari \u015fi brazii aici s-au pr\u0103bu\u015fit<br \/>\npeste m\u00e2nia turcului pocit.<br \/>\nCu bra\u0163ul vl\u0103guit de grele arme<br \/>\nsub muntele acesta \u015etefan doarme&#8230;<br \/>\nSub muntele acesta neamul meu,<br \/>\nr\u0103sare-ntre P\u0103m\u00e2nt \u015fi Dumnezeu\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nN\u0103scut din monadele fiin\u0163ei, enun\u0163ul poetic este tr\u0103it ad\u00e2nc, sublimat de fl\u0103c\u0103rile unei mistuitoare sim\u0163iri patriotice, \u00eentr-o clip\u0103 miruit\u0103 de har, sub candela inspira\u0163iei divine.<br \/>\n\u201cPl\u0103mad\u0103 de neoromantic\u201d, cum \u00eel caracterizeaz\u0103 criticul Mihai Cimpoi, \u015fi pretendent \u201cpentru cel mai bun c\u00e2ntec al lui Orfeu\u201d, cum se autodefine\u015fte, Ilie Motrescu se dezv\u0103luie (\u00ee\u015fi \u201cscrie numele ca poet\u201d) sub \u201ctoaca singur\u0103t\u0103\u0163ii\u201d, \u00eentr-un spa\u0163iu \u00eenchis, obstruat prematur de ne\u00eendur\u0103toarea secer\u0103 a mor\u0163ii, dar efectiv comprimat artistic \u015fi bine conturat valoric, \u00eentre\u0163inut de iriga\u0163ii catalitice viabile, izvor\u00e2nd din m\u0103n\u0103stirea lecturii, atestate puternic de consemn\u0103rile manuscriptice. Notele distincte ale crea\u0163iei sale sunt antinomice (\u201cContrariilor le \u015fade bine \u00eempreun\u0103\u201d, zice Heraclit): intimitatea paralel cu endofazia, colocvialitatea paralel cu extravertirea. Ion \u021aibuleac, care i-a publicat opera, analiz\u00e2nd-o cu o exemplar\u0103 acribie \u015fi p\u0103str\u00e2nd ca editor o irepro\u015fabil\u0103 discre\u0163ie (aviz nechema\u0163ilor insoli\u0163i \u015fi ignari!), observ\u0103 undeva cu pertinen\u0163\u0103 c\u0103 \u201ctot ce a scris Motrescu este un dialog, o conversa\u0163ie cu cineva de al\u0103turi, cu cineva din inim\u0103 sau \u015fi din inim\u0103\u201d, un fel de dublu al lui Diderot. Con\u015ftient de faptul c\u0103 bipolaritatea este o institu\u0163ie a artei, \u00eensu\u015fi poetul visa un regim de alteritate, o evolu\u0163ie \u00een dedublare, concomitent, o retragere \u00een datele dialecticii fiin\u0163iale \u015fi o fixare \u00een obiectivitate: (\u201cS\u0103-mi g\u0103sesc un alter ego al meu, cu gura lui s\u0103 aprob, s\u0103 comentez, s\u0103 condamn\u201d), pentru ca, \u00eentr-un context similar, s\u0103 declare \u00een cheie metaforic\u0103: \u201cSunt orga materiei\u201d, adic\u0103 un armoniu spiritualizat contrapunctic, z\u0103mislitor de polifonii complinitoare, de sonuri contigui.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAutorul \u201cSemnului\u201d, pies\u0103 antologic\u0103, emblematic\u0103 pentru poezia nord bucovinean\u0103, este un liric structural de turnur\u0103 organicist\u0103, care profeseaz\u0103 un vers-atitudine, evoc\u0103 pentru a se invoca, aleas a-\u015fi trezi energiile intime \u00een stare de germina\u0163ie, a r\u0103scoli spuza alchimic\u0103 a talentului \u015fi a aprinde talazul benefic al focului sacru. Plasma medita\u0163iei curge pe o albie deschis\u0103 \u00een dou\u0103 direc\u0163ii, ca o lupt\u0103 \u00eentre laten\u0163e, altfel spus, \u00eentr-o diad\u0103 dihotomic\u0103: spre o permanent\u0103 \u00eent\u00e2lnire cu sine \u015fi cu lumea. Poetul se adreseaz\u0103 unor cititori \u015fi comentatori inteligen\u0163i, cultiva\u0163i artistic \u015fi, transfigur\u00e2nd verbul, \u00eei d\u0103 o \u0163inut\u0103 stilistic\u0103 aleas\u0103, \u00eentraripat\u0103, infralogic\u0103, uneori chiar abscons\u0103, antren\u00e2nd inspira\u0163ia lecturii \u015fi interpret\u0103rii a\u015fa cum gimnastica antreneaz\u0103 bioenergia corpului fizic. Astfel, cre\u00e2nd un stil propriu de expres\u0103 originalitate, autorul se creeaz\u0103 de fapt pe sine \u00eensu\u015fi (un genus semnificans) \u00eentr-o nedeie a st\u0103rii de gra\u0163ie, care mi\u015fc\u0103 literatura, arta \u00een genere.
