Ce \u00eenseamn\u0103, azi, a fi rom\u00e2n? A\u0219 cita punctele de reper, \u00een urm\u0103toarea ordine:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">a.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0spa\u021biul identitar (\u201ep\u0103m\u00e2ntul\u201d,\u021bara cu istoria \u0219i cultura ei);<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">b.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0limba(elementul esen\u021bial);<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">c.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ideea de unitate (\u00een baza originii comune \u0219i a modului de a fi);<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0religia (majoritar ortodox\u0103 \u00eentr-un spa\u021biu lingvistic latin);<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">e.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0toleran\u021ba activ\u0103( morala comun\u0103, mila cre\u0219tin\u0103, omenia);<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">f.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0tr\u0103ind prea mult \u00een nesiguran\u021b\u0103(\u201e \u00een calea r\u0103ut\u0103\u021bilor\u201d), rom\u00e2nii discut\u0103 mult, prea mult, despre psihologia lor, ei se tem mereu c\u0103 na\u021bia se risipe\u0219te \u00een istorie \u0219i c\u0103 valorile noastre spirituale \u0219i morale dispar; discut\u0103m prea mult, vreau s\u0103 spun, despre <em>specificul <\/em>nostru \u0219i despre <em>nestatorniciile <\/em>noastre; \u0219i aproape deloc despre <em>miturile,<\/em> <em>vredniciile,<\/em> <em>feldein\u021ba<\/em> \u0219i <em>crea\u021biile lor \u00een istorie;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">g.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0de aici ni se trage, \u00een mod sigur, spiritul critic(spiritul de c\u00e2rtire) exagerat \u0219i, de multe ori, paralizant. Se spune c\u0103 ar fi o tr\u0103s\u0103tur\u0103 a lumii latine. Oricum, latinii de la Dun\u0103re, f\u0103r\u0103 a fi fundamental sceptici, se pun mereu \u00een discu\u021bie pe ei \u00een\u0219i\u0219i, contest\u0103 \u0219i, prin contesta\u021bie,( efectul pozitiv) ajung uneori la metafizic\u0103. <em>\u00cendoiala,<\/em> scrie undeva Cioran, este singura atitudine s\u0103n\u0103toas\u0103 \u0219i solid\u0103 \u00een lume.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">h.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Universalismul nu-i o tr\u0103s\u0103tur\u0103 dominant\u0103 a spiritului rom\u00e2nesc , cum este la francezi; rom\u00e2nii au alt\u0103 filozofie de via\u021b\u0103; ei vor s\u0103 fie, cum spune Maiorescu, <em>na\u021bionali cu fa\u021ba spre universalitate <\/em>sau \u00een limbajul de azi, s\u0103 fie <em>rom\u00e2ni-europeni<\/em>. Nu ambi\u021bioneaz\u0103 s\u0103 fie dirijorii concertului universal. Vor ca vocea lor s\u0103 nu fie suprimat\u0103 sau acoperit\u0103 de al\u021bii. E bine, e r\u0103u? Reu\u0219esc s\u0103 se impun\u0103 \u00een lume, individual, prin creatorii lor( ca Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i sau ca scepticul Cioran);<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">i.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0exist\u0103 mai multe complexe ale spiritului rom\u00e2nesc, cel mai puternic fiind acela care porne\u0219te din \u00a0sentimentul c\u0103 valorile \u00a0noastre nu sunt cunoscute \u0219i, mai ales, nu sunt recunoscute. O veritabil\u0103 obsesie. At\u00e2t de puternic\u0103 , \u00eenc\u00e2t a fi rom\u00e2n \u00eenseamn\u0103 a te pl\u00e2nge mereu de faptul \u00a0c\u0103 nu suntem \u00a0b\u0103ga\u021bi \u00een seam\u0103, c\u0103 fiul r\u0103t\u0103citor fin Occident nu se mai \u00eentoarce \u0219i, c\u00e2nd se \u00eentoarce, nu-\u0219i mai recunoa\u0219te fratele r\u0103mas acas\u0103, l\u00e2ng\u0103 p\u0103rin\u021bi. Dar, fratele \u00a0fratelui risipitor n-a stat nici el degeaba, a creat o civiliza\u021bie tot a\u0219tept\u00e2nd \u00eentoarcerea fratelui plecat \u00een Occident( opera lui Sadoveanu sugereaz\u0103 aceast\u0103 rela\u021bie \u0219i acest sentiment \u00a0de a\u0219teptare \u00een ecua\u021bia latinit\u0103\u021bii noastre oriental-europene)(\u2026)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">j.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ce \u00eenseamn\u0103, a\u0219adar, a fi rom\u00e2n \u00een epoca postmodernit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i \u00een plin\u0103 criz\u0103 economic\u0103 \u0219i moral\u0103? C\u0103ci, mai puternic\u0103 dec\u00e2t criza economic\u0103 , mi se pare a fi, azi, criza moral\u0103. Poate \u00eensemna multe lucruri.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">k.\u00a0\u00a0 Mie mi se pare c\u0103 a fi rom\u00e2n \u00een 2013 este a fi un individ, dac\u0103 nu politizat, un individ <strong>strivit de politic\u0103<\/strong>( subl. i.m.a.) Politica a devenit preocupa\u021biunea principal\u0103 a rom\u00e2nilor: Media rom\u00e2neasc\u0103 este acaparat\u0103 \u00a0\u00a0completamente de tema politic\u0103. Ceea ce \u00eenseamn\u0103:<strong> o retoric\u0103 intolerabil\u0103, personaje caragiale\u0219ti \u0219i, ca efect, un sentiment compact de c\u0103dere \u00een istoria m\u0103runt\u0103,anecdotic\u0103,, un sentiment de exasperare<\/strong>.\u2026 <strong>A fi rom\u00e2n \u00eenseamn\u0103, \u00een aceste<\/strong> <strong>circumstan\u021be, c\u0103 el se afl\u0103 cu adev\u0103rat \u00een urma Europei \u0219i c\u0103 a ajuns s\u0103 fie modelul negativ(\u201ebarbar\u201d) al comunit\u0103\u021bii \u00a0europene.(<\/strong>subl. i.m.a.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">l.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 S\u0103 schimb\u0103m palierul: ce \u00eenseamn\u0103, totu\u0219i, a fi <em>bun rom\u00e2n?<\/em> Bun, nu \u00een sensul rasial ( optica filosofilor din anii 30!), ci, spiritual, moral? Dup\u0103 mine, rom\u00e2nul este fundamental \u00a0un spirit european din R\u0103s\u0103rit, cu o puternic\u0103 r\u0103d\u0103cin\u0103 mediteranean\u0103, un spirit de sintez\u0103-cum s-a spus, pe drept, \u00een repetate r\u00e2nduri-un om care a trecut mereu printr-o istorie rea, de aceea a devenit tolerant \u0219i vigilent( putem s\u0103-i spunem:suspicios) \u0219i a practicat , \u00een rela\u021biile cu al\u021bii, \u00a0o diploma\u021bie bazat\u0103 pe <em>pruden\u021b\u0103, omenie \u0219i r\u0103bdare<\/em>. \u00cen fine , rom\u00e2nii sufer\u0103 de <em>adamism<\/em>, au construit mai mult din fuga calului(G. C\u0103linescu) dar au, cu toate acestea, un sentiment puternic de stabilitate istoric\u0103 \u0219i sunt, \u00een genere, spirite stabilizatoare. Rom\u00e2nul este,cred, un spirit creator \u00een profunzimile lui, nu un spirit pustietor, chiar dac\u0103 \u00eei place s\u0103 tachineze \u0219i s\u0103 c\u00e2rteasc\u0103. Ce i-ar mai trebui ca s\u0103 <strong>reu\u0219easc\u0103 \u00een istorie \u0219i s\u0103 scape,acum, de reputa\u021bia rea pe care i-au dat-o infractorii risipi\u021bi prin Europa \u0219i politicienii instala\u021bi la noua \u00cenalt\u0103 Poart\u0103 \u00a0de la Bruxelles? O administra\u021bie, desigur , mai coerent\u0103, mai performant\u0103 \u0219i mai cinstit\u0103, suprimarea , apoi, a bac\u0219i\u0219ului, oameni politici serio\u0219i, competen\u021bi \u0219i veritabili patrio\u021bi, oratori care s\u0103 g\u00e2ndeasc\u0103 \u00eenainte de a vorbi, iar c\u00e2nd vorbesc , s\u0103 vorbeasc\u0103 \u00een spirit na\u021bional \u0219i \u00een limbaj european, o intelighen\u021bie care s\u0103-\u0219i dep\u0103\u0219easc\u0103 idiosincraziile, complexele \u0219i s\u0103 vegheze asupra valorilor na\u021bionale \u0219i s\u0103 nu se ru\u0219ineze de rom\u00e2nitatea ei \u0219i, mai ales, s\u0103 nu conteste tot timpul; \u00een fine,a fi bun rom\u00e2n european \u00eenseamn\u0103 mai mult\u0103 \u00een\u021belegere \u0219i mai mult respect fa\u021b\u0103 de condi\u021bia de a fi \u00a0rom\u00e2n\u2026\u201d<\/strong>(subl. i.m.a.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0(\u201e \u00censemn\u0103ri rapide despre identitatea rom\u00e2neasc\u0103\u201d, Magazin istoric, august 2013, pag. 5)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Acad.
