Aceast\u0103 carte a fost publicat\u0103 la editura \u201eScripta manent\u201d din Napier \u015fi tip\u0103rit\u0103 de PIM, \u00een Ia\u015fi, Rom\u00e2nia, 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lansarea de carte a fost deschis\u0103 de Marie Dunningham cu o rug\u0103ciune (karakia) \u00een Te Reo, apoi au fost intonate imnurile Rom\u00e2niei \u015fi Noii Zeelande (NZ). Lansarea c\u0103r\u0163ii bilingve, care include 12 poe\u0163i din NZ \u015fi 12 poe\u0163i n\u0103scu\u0163i \u00een Rom\u00e2nia, a fost un prilej de cinstire a poeziei, literaturii, poe\u0163ilor \u015fi iubitorilor de poezie. De asemenea a fost \u015fi un eveniment cultural interna\u0163ional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nicoleta Paxie, bibliotecar coordonator al bibliotecii din Napier, a prezentat-o pe Valentina Teclici, care a facilitat ac\u0163iunea \u00eempreun\u0103 cu Robert Anderson, invit\u00e2nd poe\u0163ii s\u0103 citeasc\u0103 din crea\u0163ia lor. Au fost prezen\u0163i Ken Sand\u00f6, ilustratorul copertei, poe\u0163ii Dorothy Wharehoka, Marie Dunningham, Carole A. Stewart, Bill Sutton, Penepope Foster, Mandy Pentecost, Marty Smith, Nik Henriksen din Hawke\u2019s Bay \u015fi Mere Taito din Hamilton. Fiecare poet, a adus un plus de culoare \u015fi interes poeziilor citite, \u00eemp\u0103rt\u0103\u015find situa\u0163iile sau ideile care le-au inspirit poeziile.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spiritul poe\u0163ilor rom\u00e2ni a fost de asemenea prezent. Poe\u0163ii din NZ au r\u0103spuns cu mult\u0103 bucurie ideii de a citi din poeziile confra\u0163ilor rom\u00e2ni. Astfel, Bill Sutton a citit poezia lui Tudor Opri\u015f \u201eDe c\u00e2nd gonir\u0103m\u2026\u201d, Carole A. Stewart a citit poezia Anei Anton, \u201eDans\u201d. Mandy Pentecost a citit poezia Marianei Gurza, \u201eM\u0103n\u0103stire\u201d. \u00cen prezentarea sa, Mandy a vorbit liber despre legenda Me\u015fterului Manole, cercetat\u0103 de ea pe Internet, demonstr\u00e2nd o profund\u0103 \u00een\u0163elegere a mesajului legendei. Robert Anderson a citit poezia \u201eUmblu prin lume\u201d, scris\u0103 de Monica S\u0103vulescu Voudouri care locuie\u015fte \u00een Grecia de mai mul\u0163i ani. A fost o real\u0103 demonstra\u0163ie \u015fi dovad\u0103 c\u0103 \u201ePodurile lirice\u201d reu\u015fesc s\u0103 apropie poe\u0163i din diferite culturi. O m\u0103rturie a comunic\u0103rii perfecte \u015fi f\u0103r\u0103 grani\u0163e pentru c\u0103 limba poeziei este universal\u0103. This book was published by Scripta manent Publishing House Napier, and printed by PIM, Iasi, Romania, 2016.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The book launch was opened by Marie Dunningham with a karakia, then the Romanian and the New Zealand national anthems were performed. The launch of the bilingual book, which includes 12 New Zealand poets and 12 poets born in Romania was a tribute to poetry, literature, poets and poetry lovers. It was also an international cultural event.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Nicoleta Paxie, Librarian Coordinator at the Napier Library, introduced Valentina Teclici, who facilitated the activity together with Robert Anderson, inviting the attending poets to read from their work. Present at this event were Ken Sand\u00f6, the covers designer, Dorothy Wharehoka, Marie Dunningham, Carole A. Stewart, Bill Sutton, Penelope Foster, Mandy Pentecost, Marty Smith, Nik Henriksen, all are members of Hawke\u2019s Bay Lives Poets Society, and the poet Mere Taito from Hamilton.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Each poet brought a splash of colour and interest to the poems they read by sharing situations or ideas that inspired their work. The Romanian poets\u2019 spirit was also present. Some poets from New Zealand responded with genuine joy to the idea of reading poems of their Romanians poetry brethren.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Thus, Bill Sutton read Tudor Opri\u015f\u2019 poem &#8220;Since We Drove Away &#8230;&#8221;, Carole A. Stewart read the poem \u201cDance\u201d by Anna Anton. Mandy Pentecost read Mariana Gurza\u2019s poem \u201cMonastery\u201d. In her introduction, Mandy freely presented from her research the legend of the Master Builder Manole and demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the meaning of this story. Robert Anderson read the poem &#8220;I am walking through the world&#8221; written by Monica S\u0103vulescu Voudouri who has been living in Greece for several years. Valentina read Ana Urma\u00b4s, Violeta Ionescu\u00b4s and Vasilica Grigora\u015f\u00b4s reflections on the book and their good wishes for the NZ poets. She also briefly presented some aspects from their biographies and literary activity.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Music was also a component of the book launch. Nik Henriksen who is also a song writer, has composed music to the text of his poetry \u201cWake up\u201d. Nik was happy to sing his poem, playing his guitar and lifting the spirits of the audience further. The book launch that lasted nearly two hours was a real tribute to poetry and culture. It was a real demonstration that poetical bridges can bring together poets from different cultures. It was proof of perfect communication without borders because poetry is universal.
