C\u0103ci, de fapt, de\u015fi acesta este un \u201ecaz\u201c de scriitor uitat \u015fi cu oper\u0103 risipit\u0103 din ignoran\u0163\u0103, nep\u0103sare ori rea-voin\u0163\u0103, \u201ecanonul semi-uit\u0103rii\u201c pare ca s-a impus \u00eentr-un mod \u015focant \u00een aceast\u0103 literatur\u0103 care nu-i capabil\u0103 nici p\u00e2n\u0103 ast\u0103zi s\u0103 aib\u0103 m\u0103car un singur autor cu edi\u0163ie de \u201eopere complete\u201c a\u015fa cum pretutindeni \u00een societ\u0103\u0163ile a\u015fezate este norm\u0103 nediscutabil\u0103. Arareori doar c\u00e2te un spirit scormonitor ori sentimental recite\u015fte c\u0103r\u0163i vechi ce abia dac\u0103 se mai \u0163in \u00een cotoare sau r\u0103sfoie\u015fte ziare \u015fi reviste din vremuri parc\u0103 antice \u015fi mai descoper\u0103 c\u00e2te un nume, c\u00e2te o crea\u0163ie f\u0103r\u0103 \u201ecot\u0103\u201c ori idei r\u0103mase f\u0103r\u0103 descenden\u0163i; \u015fi se mir\u0103. Acum, \u201erestituirea\u201c nu apare \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103tor ci \u00eei apar\u0163ine Marianei Gurza care, fiindu-i \u201erudenie\u201c, ilustreaz\u0103 tipologia \u201eurma\u015fului veghetor\u201c, rar\u0103 \u015fi ea la noi, unde uitarea \u015fi risipa au devenit regul\u0103 de fier \u015fi atitudinea cea mai r\u0103sp\u00e2ndit\u0103. La drept vorbind, Vasile Pl\u0103van merit\u0103 o edi\u0163ie nou\u0103 \u015fi poate c\u0103 \u00een viitor chiar \u015fi o edi\u0163ie integral\u0103 dac\u0103 n\u0103zuin\u0163a de a nu-i l\u0103sa numele s\u0103 revin\u0103 \u00een penumbr\u0103 de unde iese acum, se va \u00eenso\u0163i \u015fi de un efort bibliografic nu de tot m\u0103runt. Dar va fi nevoie de c\u0103ut\u0103ri \u00een revistele bucovinene de acum aproape un veac \u015fi poate, dac\u0103 va interveni \u015fi norocul, de investiga\u0163ii lungi \u015fi anevoiase \u00een arhive unde adeseori trebuie c\u0103utat acul \u00een carul cu f\u00e2n. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u201eBoabe de lacrimi\u201c confirm\u0103 un \u201eautor de epoc\u0103\u201c. Aceast\u0103 constatare se impune. \u00cens\u0103 perspectiva curent\u0103 ce dispre\u0163uie\u015fte astfel de produc\u0163ii sub cuv\u00e2nt c\u0103 ar fi \u201eprimitive\u201c \u015fi ilustr\u00e2nd un \u0163\u0103r\u0103nism \u00eenapoiat trebuie \u00eenl\u0103turat\u0103. Origina ei este, \u00eens\u0103, surprinz\u0103toare c\u0103ci de\u015fi a\u015fezat \u00een categoria \u201edosarelor clasate\u201c, sem\u0103n\u0103torismul nu cunoa\u015fte p\u00e2n\u0103 ast\u0103zi chiar dec\u00e2t examin\u0103ri ideologice \u015fi contesta\u0163ii doctrinare (ce vor trebui \u015fi ele explicate c\u00e2ndva) \u015fi nici o analiz\u0103 de perspective estetce \u015fi de integr\u0103ri \u00een evolu\u0163ii de ansamblu. Cine se va \u00eencerca \u00een aceast\u0103 materie va \u00eent\u00e2lni, totu\u015fi, realit\u0103\u0163i neobi\u015fnuite de unde s-ar putea s\u0103 rezulte altfel de leg\u0103turi cu produc\u0163iunile anterioare sau cu cele ce i-au urmat c\u0103ci \u201es\u0103m\u0103n\u0103torismul\u201c se va \u00een\u0163elege cu vremea drept o viziune antropologic\u0103, a omului pur \u015fi a \u201ebunului s\u0103lbatic\u201c, anticip\u00e2nd un fel de ecologie care ast\u0103zi dac\u0103 ar fi cunoscut\u0103 ar avea adep\u0163i \u015fi sus\u0163in\u0103tori. Scenele etnografice f\u0103r\u0103 cine \u015ftie ce \u00eensemn\u0103tate estetic\u0103, invocate frecvent \u00een felul argumentelor de sc\u0103z\u0103m\u00e2nt, nu sunt \u00eens\u0103 \u00een\u0163elese cu l\u0103rgime \u015fi bine\u00een\u0163eles c\u0103 se gre\u015fe\u015fte.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Estetice\u015fte, acestea sunt mai degrab\u0103 scheme de pictur\u0103 settecentesc\u0103, traduc\u00e2nd o viziune de Fragonard de sat ce picteaz\u0103 vicon\u0163i \u00een i\u0163ari \u015fi momemte de calendar al unei realit\u0103\u0163i stilizate \u015fi epurate de incidental prin reducerea la canonic. Acela\u015fi utopism de umanitate idealizat\u0103 apare \u015fi aici, de\u015fi materia este diferit\u0103. \u201eSe f\u0103cea c\u0103 Radu se \u00eentorcea din \u0163arin\u0103 pe c\u0103r\u0103ri umbrite de spice de s\u0103car\u0103 \u00eendoite. Amurgul se l\u0103sase peste sat. Holdele erau trecute de pieptul omului. B\u0103tute alintat de zefir, se leg\u0103nau \u00eencet \u00eentr-un susur molcom. C\u00e2rduri de vite veneau de la p\u0103\u015fune, mugind prelung ca s\u0103 sparg\u0103 t\u0103cerea satului. Dintre ogoarele \u00eenc\u0103rcate de road\u0103 se desprindea, ca un farmec sf\u00e2nt, doina ciobanului care \u015fi-a pierdut turma. O c\u00e2nta din fluer fl\u0103c\u0103ul Toader Caprarul care se \u00eentorcea de la lucru cu carul cu boi. Cum \u00een tot satul nu se g\u0103sea fl\u0103c\u0103u care s\u0103 c\u00e2nte doina ciobanului cu \u015fartul lui Toader Caprarul, b\u0103tr\u00e2ni \u015fi tineri se topeau \u00een admira\u0163ie pentru fl\u0103c\u0103ul acesta care t\u0103lm\u0103cea cu foc jalea acestui c\u00e2ntec apucat din b\u0103tr\u00e2ni.Valurile doinei pline de alean se rev\u0103rsau peste sat \u015fi fetele se adunau botei \u015fi r\u0103m\u00e2neau \u00een loc pr\u0103p\u0103dite ca s\u0103 asculte cu ochii \u00een lacrimi glasul fluerului. La r\u0103d\u0103cina tufanilor din p\u0103durici, licuricii \u00ee\u015fi \u00eembiau lumina miraculoas\u0103, podoab\u0103 ceresc\u0103 prins\u0103 pe hlamida violet\u0103 a amurgului. O reverie a sufletelor candide se observ\u0103 adeseori iar semnele originarului apar din toate p\u0103r\u0163ile \u015fi se impun. Secera totemic\u0103, satul mitic, \u201esoroacele\u201c, ursita, mul\u0163imea de supersti\u0163ii, de frici de neolitic \u015fi de reac\u0163ii codificate se includ aici dar \u00een felul unui \u201esadovenism congenital\u201c al literaturii rom\u00e2ne care \u00een alte p\u0103r\u0163i s-a dezvoltat \u00een crea\u0163ie indigenist\u0103 \u015fi \u00een \u201erealism magic\u201c sud-american. Prozatorul nu \u00eenainteaz\u0103 \u00eens\u0103 \u00een aceast\u0103 direc\u0163ie. El picur\u0103 \u00een substan\u0163a lui afectiv\u0103 mult\u0103 doctrin\u0103 \u015fi element de tradi\u0163ie regional\u0103 cultivat\u0103 \u00eentr-un chip aproape secret, ca \u015fi cum ar constitui \u201ec\u0103r\u0163ile sacre\u201c. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u201eEminescianitatea\u201c se impune ca atitudine \u015fi se confirm\u0103 p\u00e2n\u0103 \u015fi \u00een evoc\u0103rile \u201edrumului de fier\u201c v\u0103zut deopotriv\u0103 \u00een felul \u201eDoinei\u201c dar \u015fi al lui Sadoveanu, ca un agent coroziv al alien\u0103rii \u015fi al \u201esf\u00e2r\u015fitului pove\u015ftii\u201c. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00cens\u0103 \u201eeminescian\u201c este \u015fi presentimentul dramei colective, descrierea \u201e\u00eencerc\u0103rilor\u201c ce cuprind un popor care parc\u0103 a traversat de\u015fertul simbolic dar nu s-a ridicat \u00eenc\u0103 mai sus de \u201eblestemul sub-istoriei\u201c. Acesta este regimul de \u201esupus austriac\u201c, o inven\u0163ie modern\u0103 ce pune laolalt\u0103 \u00eentr-o mixtur\u0103 de ne\u00een\u0163eles at\u00e2t pe \u201ecives\u201c c\u00e2t \u015fi pe \u201efoederatus\u201c, pe cet\u0103\u0163ean \u015fi pe barbar. De altminteri, \u201ebabelismul\u201c de imperiu \u00een amurg se \u00eentrevede pretutindeni, acesta fiind, de fapt, \u201ecern\u0103u\u0163ismul\u201c elogiat de unii apologe\u0163i recen\u0163i, prea de tot ignoran\u0163i \u00een materie \u00eens\u0103 predispu\u015fi a face agita\u0163ie \u015fi prozelitism pentru un \u201emuticulturalism\u201c necon\u0163inutistic. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Accentul acestei literaturi este eticist \u015fi doctrinar, cultiv\u00e2nd un rousseauism etnic izbitor. Dar \u015fi aici p\u0103trund scene din tablourile de via\u0163\u0103 cotidian\u0103, litografii \u015fi decor. C\u00e2teva din aceste crea\u0163ii cu gen indistinct, unde memorialistica se al\u0103tur\u0103 cu proza etnografic\u0103, sunt memorabile nu at\u00e2t prin for\u0163a de a evoca portretistic ci prin document de via\u0163\u0103 istoric\u0103 \u015fi prin atitudinea ce define\u015fte rostul omului \u00een univers. \u201eModelul\u201c \u015fi \u201eexemplul\u201c sunt aici capitale \u015fi constituie, mai cu seam\u0103 prin mica bijuterie eticist\u0103 \u201eDionisie Mitrofanovici\u201c, punctul cel mai \u00eenalt al crea\u0163iei acestui autor de \u201eportrete morale\u201c \u015fi de apologuri de uz didactic, mai degrab\u0103 \u00eens\u0103 apte a fi citite \u201e\u00een prispa bisericii\u201c.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00cen fond, Vasile Pl\u0103van era un c\u0103rturar de spe\u0163\u0103 practic\u0103, \u00een tradi\u0163ie bucovinean\u0103 unde \u015ftiin\u0163a de carte nu a condus la un gen contemplativ. Era, deopotriv\u0103, un om citit (evoca \u00eentre altele pe Carlyle, al c\u0103rui messianism al \u201eomului mare\u201c presim\u0163it \u015fi de Alexandru Ha\u015fdeu, \u00eei va fi pl\u0103cut) \u015fi \u201ecu formula vie\u201c, av\u00e2nd \u00een\u0163elegere a vie\u0163ii, p\u0103trunz\u0103tor. Iar dac\u0103 i s-ar fi \u00eeng\u0103duit s\u0103 se exprime cu l\u0103rgime \u015fi \u00een etape lungi, poate c\u0103 ar fi devenit \u015fi un scriitor ce conteaz\u0103 c\u0103ci avea un talent sim\u0163it printre r\u00e2nduri, \u00eentre altele \u015fi prin aceste pagini de lini\u015fte buzzatian\u0103, de felul celor din \u201eDe\u015fertul Tatarilor\u201c. \u201eCum p\u0103\u015feam pe drum, un c\u00e2ntec frumos a-nfiorat t\u0103cerea serii ce se l\u0103sase de-abinelea. C\u00e2ntecul venea din sus, dinspre \u0163arin\u0103, \u015fi se deslu\u015fea din ce \u00een ce mai bine. Era at\u00e2ta duio\u015fie \u00een el, at\u00e2t alean stingher, c\u0103 m-am oprit locului s\u0103-l ascult. Se cuno\u015ftea c\u0103 nu era c\u00e2ntec rom\u00e2nesc. Rusoaice veneau cu sapa de-a um\u0103ru de la pra\u015fil\u0103. Un ciopor de fete se desf\u0103\u015furase de-acurmezi\u015ful drumului \u015fi se mi\u015fc\u0103 alene c\u00e2nt\u00e2nd \u00een dou\u0103 voci, prin mijlocul satului.E\u015fiau femeile la por\u0163i de ascultau \u00eempietrite acel c\u00e2ntec de jale.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>C\u00e2ntecul de mult se pierduse \u00een vale ci eu tot stam pe loc ascult\u00e2nd melodia ce-mi r\u0103mase \u00een auz. \u015ei mult\u0103 vreme m-a urm\u0103rit acea vraj\u0103 a c\u00e2ntecului de step\u0103.
